ROCKET RECALLS

Come when called is an important life skill for every dog. Your dog’s ability to turn on a dime can be a life saver. Learn how to increase your dog’s motivation and drive to respond when given their cue to come. Teach your dog that “come” is a fun and rewarding command and not a negative one. Learn strategies on how to incrementally increase your dog’s success rate while being safe.
Prerequisites: Dogs must be at least 6 months old at the start of class and meet our classroom behavior requirements. See GGDS Classroom Behavior Policy.
Equipment: 15’-20’ longline and top clipping harness that provides full range of motion (no shoulder restriction) such as Ruffwear Front Range Dog Harness and Blue 9 Balance Harness.
SPORTS SAMPLER

Whether you are looking for a new sport or just want a non competitive weekly activity to do with your dog, Sports Sampler is for you! This 6 week class allows students to get a taste of three of our classes (Agility, Scent Work and Tricks). Every two weeks, students will be exposed to each sport in a fun low pressure environment.
These classes are done primarily on a leash/long line. Flat collars/harnesses allowed. No head halters/choke/prong/electronic equipment allowed for training.
Prerequisite: Dogs must be at least 6 months old at the start of class and meet our classroom behavior requirements. See GGDS Classroom Behavior Policy.
ADOLESCENT MANNERS

Did your puppy’s perfect manners disappear when they became a teenager? Does your dog forget you exist when around other dogs or new environments? Whether you have a new young dog or need to refresh your dog’s skills, Adolescent Manners is there to support you and your dog in this phase of their life. Come brush up on your dog’s leash skills, greetings, recall, and stay. Turn distractions into cues to focus on you and convince your dog that hanging out with you is way cooler than with other dogs.
Prerequisite: This class is appropriate for dogs 6 months of age to 2 years. Dogs must be able to safely work around other dogs and people. No excessive barking. See GGDS Classroom Behavior Policy.
PRE-AGILITY

This is where the fun starts! Come and join this class to learn the skills needed to hit the ground running in agility. This 6 week course covers important foundation behaviors from the ground up. Whether this is your first agility dog or your next agility champion this class will help you build solid teamwork from the start. Pre-Agility is primarily done on leash.
Please note that the first week of Pre-Agility is a people only session. Please leave your dog at home.
