student agreement
It is the sole responsibility of the student to abide by Golden Gate Dog Sports LLC (GGDS) facility rules and regulations when at the facility, participating in classes and/or events.
Here are the current rules (students will be notified regarding rules changes/additions either by letter, email, text message, telephone, and/or by posting at the class site):
Arrive promptly about 10-15 minutes before your class starts so you can walk your dog and be ready to enter the building for class at the designated class time. Do not enter the until the previous class has exited the building.
Dogs must not eliminate waste inside or on the building or on equipment. If your dog eliminates (urinates or defecates) on the artificial turf flooring or equipment, you will be invoiced for a $15 damage fee for the first occurrence. Second and third occurrences will be invoiced at $25 and $40, respectively. After three occurrences, GGDS will counsel you to find appropriate potty training assistance. Invoices must be paid before your dog can return to the facility.
Do not allow your dogs to potty right outside the doors/buildings or trees in front of the building. Please take them to potty across the street or down the street in the dirt area.
Pick-up after your dog/s and dispose of waste in the appropriate bins.
Dogs must be under control at all times and be crated or on a leash except when working on the field, this includes when entering/exiting the building. Do not leave dogs unattended unless they are crated.
Dogs in heat can participate in classes but must wear panties at all times while in the building.
Sick dogs are not allowed at GGDS - this includes dogs that have a cough, diarrhea or vomiting.
Be attentive to both your dog and the instructor during the class. If you need to use your phone during class, please leave the building. You are only permitted to use your phones to take videos of your runs.
Be aware of the other dogs around you in class. Practice 6 feet distance from other dogs/handlers inside and outside the building. Do not allow your dog to meet other dogs or allow your dog to approach another dog in a crate.
Golden Gate Dog Sports (GGDS) is a rewards based training facility. Prong, choke, electronic collars or any other aversive training tools that can inflict fear or pain on a dog are not allowed to be used at GGDS.
Refunds/Make-ups: No refunds are given for classes. Registration and payment of the training enrollment fee is a binding commitment that the owner and dog(s) will attend class sessions. No makeup sessions or refunds are offered for missed classes. Please let your instructor know as soon as possible if you know that you will be missing a class.
Inclement Weather Policy: Hot temperatures, smokey air conditions or emergency situations may necessitate last minute cancellations. Students should use their best judgement in regards to their safety and travel arrangements. Reasonable effort will be made by GGDS to notify students regarding any cancellation. If in doubt, please contact your instructor. Any cancellations made by GGDS will either be made up by extending the class session or rescheduling a make-up class.
Guarantees: No guarantee is given on training programs. Every dog and every handler is an individual and the success of any training program is dependent on the handler’s interactions and relationship with their dog, the level of their commitment to the training process, the amount of practice they do together and the temperament of the dog. GGDS has no way to control these factors and therefore cannot guarantee any final outcome.
Photos/Videos: Numerous photos and/or videos are taken of the dog(s) and handler(s) at GGDS. Photos and/or videos may be posted to the GGDS website, FaceBook page and Instagram pages, and/or used in promotional materials at no compensation to the dog(s)’ owner/handler. If you do not wish you or your dog(s)’s likeness to be used, please let GGDS know by emailing info@ggdogsports.com.
Please note that class prices are subject to change without notice.
